Wall Street Remains Closed for Memorial Day

The stock exchanges in New York will remain closed on Monday for the celebration of Memorial Day. On that day, fallen American soldiers are commemorated.

Trading on Wall Street will resume on Tuesday.

Investors in New York this week are paying attention, among other things, to the American jobs report that will be released on Friday.

On Wednesday, payslip processor ADP will already provide figures on employment in the corporate world in the United States. In addition, new data is reported on economic activity.

US stocks closed with a solid gain on Friday. Investors responded, among other things, to a report that a key inflation gauge of the Federal Reserve rose less rapidly in April than the month before. This could be a sign that price increases are slowing down.

Inflation fears, which continued to flare, kept investors captivated and previously led to a sell-off in global equity markets.
