Patch Should Fix AMD Performance Issues on Windows 11

Microsoft has a patch ready to fix the bugs that cause some applications on AMD Ryzen chips to run up to fifteen percent slower.

 

Two weeks ago, it was publicized that two bugs are causing the combination of AMD and Windows 11 to slow down some apps and games. In one case, the latency (response time) of the L3 cache is three times higher than on Windows 10.

According to Ars Technica, a patch will be available this weekend for Windows Insiders, which will also be available to all Windows 11 users in the coming days.

Initially, AMD owners had some apprehension after the first update to Windows 11 last week failed to address the issue and reportedly made it worse. AMD, therefore, announced on Reddit, among other things, that a solution was still being worked on, which will possibly be rolled out in the coming days.
