The Danes are not pricked with the Janssen (Johnson & Johnson) corona vaccine. The authorities have decided not to use the drug because it can cause blood clots and Danish media reports in rare cases.
Denmark had previously stopped using AstraZeneca after similar blood problems had developed in a few people after vaccination.
According to the Danish newspaper B.T., it was actually the intention that the Janssen vaccine would play a significant role in the vaccination of the population, also because only one injection is needed. The authorities had ordered most doses from Janssen.
B.T. fears a delay in vaccination. With Janssen, the vaccination of younger Danes, in particular, should have been accelerated.
