US President Joe Biden has told Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that he expects another de-escalation in the Israel-Hamas conflict on Wednesday.
The two leaders spoke to each other about the conflict for the fourth time.
The US is Israel’s main ally and has also consistently said that Israel has the right to defend itself. According to the White House, this conversation was also about tackling terrorist organizations, including Biden Hamas.
According to Biden, there must be a ceasefire quickly, and that requires de-escalation.
Israel and Hamas have been attacking each other with rockets and bombings since the beginning of last week. More than 240 people were killed, mainly in the Gaza Strip.
